Lakhina King is an extraordinary woman. Marked for death as a young child in the Killing Fields of Cambodia, she not only traveled through fields of death all around her, but through abandonment and betrayal. Later, as a very young woman living in the United States, Lakhina experienced abduction, addictions, and promiscuity that threatened her very existence. You will witness in her book how God transformed those dark places in her soul into bright light, exposing to her His awesome love—a love so vast, so deep, and so high that it is almost incomprehensible. Lakhina states, "He is the true Author of From the Killing Fields Through Fields of Grace because He is the Author of my life. The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life (Job 33:4 NIV)."
Lakhina was able to return to Cambodia as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, where she was reunited with her mother after over 25 years. She had the privilege of leading her siblings and others to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and has a goal of one day building an orphanage for lost and wounded children where they will find love and restoration through Christ.
Lakhina is the mother of three handsome sons. She lives in South Carolina with her husband, John, who serves in the U.S. Army.
Lakhina King is available for speaking engagements in churches and other groups. You may contact her through this website.
