Few people realize the horrors and atrocities the Cambodian people suffered during the reign of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge, when approximately 25% of the population was slaughtered. This is the story of survival for a young girl whose family was marked for death. And her fight for survival did not end when she escaped Cambodia and was brought to the United States as a refugee. Read the amazing story of God's deliverance and restoration following betrayal, rebellion, abduction, alcohol and drug abuse, exotic dancing, and the "good" life of wealth and popularity among the elite.

An amazing story about an amazing woman!!!
Before I ever read the book all I knew was that Lakhina was an amazing, strong and God filled woman! She gave me a copy as a gift and after reading it, I was at a loss. I read the entire thing nonstop in less than 3 hours. It is an incredible story that truly shows Gods love and grace displayed not only by protecting her through so much, but also by bringing her to a place where she can now serve Him through her testimony. I was blessed and inspired by her story, and am even more blessed by her friendship.
